A LITTLE HELP
We’re here.
Questions about your daily pause?
Start here, or send us a note.
For a technical issue, include your device, iOS version, and what happened. Please leave out private Health records and meditation backups unless they’re needed and you choose to share them.
Good to know.
Where can I download Daypause?
Daypause is preparing for its first App Store release. It will be free for iPhone and iPad, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases. The download link will appear here when it is available.
How does the daily meditation work?
Each day has one five-minute meditation. You can pause and return later that same day. Once you finish, the card stays complete until tomorrow. Unfinished progress expires at local midnight. The 28-meditation collection repeats every four weeks.
Can I listen with my phone locked?
Yes. With Voice on, guidance continues when you lock your phone or leave the app. You can use the Lock Screen playback controls. Silent practice pauses when the app is no longer active. Calls and other audio interruptions pause playback; return to the app to continue.
Can I turn off the voice or the text?
Yes. In You → During meditation, choose Voice and Text independently. You can also change them inside a meditation. The English voice is AI-generated and bundled with the app, so listening works offline.
How do reminders work?
Daily reminders are optional. Set a time in You → Before meditation and allow notifications when prompted. If you have already finished today’s meditation, that day’s reminder is skipped. If reminders are missing, check your notification permissions and Focus settings in iOS.
What is saved to Apple Health?
Only the time you actually meditate, including partial sessions. Pauses and skipped time do not count. Connection is optional. Daypause does not read your existing Health records. Disconnecting stops future saves; remove existing records in Apple Health if you want to delete them.
How do I back up or erase my history?
Go to You → Manage data to export a JSON backup, export a readable CSV history, restore a backup, or erase local app data. Restore merges history with what is already on your device. Erasing does not remove earlier exports, device backups, or records already saved in Apple Health.
Is this medical care?
Daypause is for general wellbeing, not diagnosis or treatment. Choose a comfortable position and a safe setting. You can keep your eyes open, skip an instruction, or stop whenever you need.
